Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana is a scheme launched by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The beneficiaries of this scheme include families registered in the Jan Aadhaar database, either under the free category or those who have paid the required premium to enroll in the scheme.
The free category includes:
Families eligible under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in Rajasthan.
Families listed under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011.
Contractual employees working in various government departments, boards, corporations, and government companies in Rajasthan.
Small and marginal farmers.
Destitute and helpless families who received COVID-19 relief assistance in the previous year.
Other families in Rajasthan who are not government employees or pensioners (and do not receive medical benefits under government employee health rules) can enroll in the scheme by paying the required premium. This insurance policy covers almost 1798 treatments and medical expenses.
The state government has increased the annual health insurance cover in the scheme from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
