The CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) Health Scheme, specifically the Ayushman CAPF scheme, provides healthcare benefits to serving and retired personnel from eight forces, including the CRPF, and their dependents. This includes access to cashless healthcare services in hospitals empanelled with the National Health Authority (NHA). The scheme has been expanded to include the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) and their dependents as well.
Eligibility:
Serving CRPF personnel:All serving personnel of the CRPF are eligible for the scheme.
Retired CRPF personnel:Retired CRPF personnel are also eligible for the scheme.
Dependents of serving and retired CRPF personnel:This includes their spouses, children, and other eligible dependents.
Dependents of personnel from other participating forces:This includes personnel from Assam Rifles, BSF, SSB, CISF, NSG, ITBP, and NDRF.
How to Avail Benefits:
Ayushman CAPF e-card:
Beneficiaries can obtain an Ayushman CAPF e-card from their respective forces.
Pradhan Mantri Aarogya Mitra (PMAM):
The e-card can also be obtained from a PMAM stationed at a PM-JAY empanelled private hospital.
Cashless treatment:
Eligible individuals can receive cashless treatment at empaneled hospitals.
Other Welfare Activities:
CRPF also provides other welfare activities like financial assistance to next of kin (NOK) in death cases, educational scholarships, and compassionate appointments.
Ex-gratia payments are also provided in case of death due to accidents or acts of violence during duty.
